Time, Attention and Reassurance
Helping Little Ones Adjust
Every child handles separation differently. At Tots, we give children the time, attention and reassurance they need to become comfortable with their new routine.
Extra staff are available during morning drop-off to provide one-on-one attention when needed. Consistent goodbye routines, family photos, social stories and calming spaces can all help make the transition easier.
Because Tots is a small center, our teachers get to know each child well. They recognize when a little one needs some extra comfort or simply isn’t acting like themselves that day.

What Parents Are Saying …
Frequently Asked Questions
Have Questions?
What ages do you accept for Infant & Toddler Care?
Tots provides Infant & Toddler Care beginning at 6 weeks old. Children become eligible to transition into our Preschool program at 2½ years old, with most transitioning by age 3 based on readiness and classroom availability.
How many children are in the infant and toddler rooms?
Our small classroom sizes allow us to provide plenty of individual attention. The infant room cares for just 4 children, while our toddler room accommodates up to 8 children.
Will you follow my baby’s feeding and nap schedule?
Yes. We understand how important familiar routines are for babies, so our infant teachers follow the feeding and sleep schedule your child is accustomed to at home rather than requiring every infant to follow the same classroom schedule.
What does a typical day look like for an infant?
Infant days are built around each child’s individual needs, including feeding, naps and care. Between those routines, babies spend time on the floor playing, exploring and participating in age-appropriate activities related to our weekly themes.
What does a typical day look like for a toddler?
Toddler days become a little more structured while still emphasizing play and exploration. Children enjoy morning outdoor time, circle time and hands-on activities that allow them to explore weekly themes and learn about the world around them.
What if my child has a difficult time at drop-off?
Every child adjusts differently. We have extra staff available during morning drop-off to provide one-on-one attention when needed. Consistent goodbye routines, family photos, social stories and calming areas are some of the tools we can use to help children feel comfortable and adjust at their own pace.
How will I know how my child’s day went?
Tots uses the Tadpoles app to provide families with a full daily report at the end of each day. Because we’re a small center, our teachers and director also get to know each child personally and can communicate directly with parents when something needs extra attention.
Do infants and toddlers spend time outdoors?
Yes. Outdoor play is an important part of the day at Tots. Our large, shaded backyard includes equipment specifically for infants and toddlers, along with plenty of room for fresh air, movement and exploration.
When will my toddler move into Preschool?
Children must be at least 2½ years old before transitioning into Preschool. Most children make the move by age 3, with the timing based on their readiness as well as classroom availability.
Can I tour Tots before enrolling my child?
Absolutely. We encourage families to visit Tots, see the Infant & Toddler spaces, meet our team and experience our home-like environment for themselves. You can schedule a tour online at a time that works for you.
